Positive Education at Elizabeth Grove Primary School is based around the Positive Psychology model of PERMA – Positive emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning and Accomplishment. Throughout the year students will learn about each of these five core elements and grow an understanding of what it means to thrive, working towards a life of fulfillment, happiness and meaning. Students develop an understanding of their signature character strengths and how they can harness these to engage in their learning and manage challenges that life will inevitably throw their way. An understanding of neuropsychology plays a large part in Positive Education and students have the opportunity to learn about the three central parts of the brain that influence our feelings, thoughts, emotions and behaviours.
Positive Education sets students up for success in learning and in life and is an important subject area that can enhance engagement all curriculum areas.

In loving memory of Dianne Wilks
1953 – 2017
Our deepest Sympathy goes to the family, colleagues and friends of Dianne Wilks, our beloved SSO. Di has touched the lives of so many students and staff during her 18 years at Elizabeth Grove Primary School through her support in classes, MiniLit, School Banking, School Photos Co-ordinator, Student Report Coordinator and Newsletter! We will miss her muttering to herself, her cheeky smile and her sense of humour!
In loving memory of Fifi Chum
Fifi was a creative, curious and extremely brave young girl who everyone in our community loved. Fifi had a beautiful smile that spread to anyone who crossed her path. We ask you remember that beautiful smile of hers and let it shine through to you everyday.
